Hard discs are constructed of various metals and plastics and are inherently tough, therefore shredding of these discs requires very strong, high torque equipment. Traditionally these machines would be large size, high throughput and expensive requiring large power supply and space. This is of course is not a viable solution for low volume processors. Genox recognized this issue and has since developed a smaller, high torque, low maintenance shredder specifically for this application. Benefits include; lower initial outlay, reduced maintenance & operational costs, minimum space requirements.  The compact design and comparably light weight make installation of these machines in mobile applications a real possibility.
